Oregano essential oil is amazingly effective in fighting nail fungus, plantar worts, and candida. Considered a “hot” oil, you would not want to apply it neat on tender skin as it WILL burn you. The word neat in the world of essential oils means straight out of the bottle without diluting with a carrier oil. Some carrier oils include almond oil, coconut oil, and jojoba oil. The following are just a few accounts of my personal experience using Oregano oil:
PLANTAR WORTS: I noticed that my 14 year old grandson had a large cluster of plantar worts on the bottom of his foot. His mother is a nurse and said that they had been taking him to the doctor to have them removed but they kept coming back. Being viral in nature, there was a concern about the other
children in the house, or that he might touch his feet and then accidentially touch his face.
Before going to bed that evening and after washing his feet, I applied one drop of Young Living Oregano essential oil to the area. I applied it neat as the skin on the plantar side of the feet is
tougher than anywhere on the body…but I did tell him to let me know if it began to burn because
some of the worts were between the toes. The next morning there was a significant improvement…they had begun to dry up literally overnight! I applied one drop morning and night for the 7 days I was visiting and by the time I had to leave they were well on the way to disappearing altogether.
NAIL FUNGUS: About two months ago a new reflexology client had come for a session and he had a nail fungus on the nail of one of his big toes. He said he had tried many different topicals but nothing seemed to help. I suggested he try Oregano essential oil. When he returned for his most recent session the fungus was literally gone. He said he was so impressed with the results that he began to take Oregano capsules internally to eradicate candida yeast overgrowth and was feeling much better than he had in a long time.
